What Lentlo Credits are (and what they are not)
Lentlo Credits is the money you keep with LentloSites to pay for the platform — one balance for your whole account, shared by all your sites. Open it from Account → Lentlo Credits in the menu (it works even before you create a website), or from the Lentlo Credits item in any website's own menu, which opens the same page with that website picked.
Don't mix this up with your store's customer wallet. That one is store credit your customers hold with your shop (top-ups, refunds-to-wallet). Lentlo Credits is your own balance with us. For the customer wallet, see Wallet — store credit for your customers.
Working through an agency or provider? If your account was set up by a provider, your credits page is theirs: they recharge it, any usage fee is at their rate, and your Plan & billing page shows their prices and invoices. Tap Add credits to pay your provider and request a recharge (the AI Credits page); there is no platform recharge screen for provider accounts.
What your credits pay for
Everything you buy from us comes out of this one balance — no separate bills to track.
Plans
Starter, Pro and Growth are bought straight from your credits and activate instantly — and renew from them by themselves at the end of each period.
The per-sale fee
The small charge on each sale (Free and Starter plans only). It comes out after the sale — never from your customer.
Asha answer packs
AI features such as AI-written website text, WhatsApp AI replies and your website chatbot run on Asha answers — your free daily answers first, then a pack. A pack can be bought from your credits (recharged money only). Older AI charges still show on your statement as AI lines.
Optional services
Done-for-you services you order from the dashboard, like App Store publishing.
The one-time ₹500 to start
When you create your account you add ₹500 once. This is not a fee — the full amount lands in your account as credits and gets used up on your plan and fees over time. Want a paid plan? You buy it later straight from these same credits, per website — the ₹500 is never an extra charge on top.
Since August 2026 your email is collected at sign-up itself, and your first recharge first takes your billing address step by step (pincode auto-fills city & state). Because of this the secure payment page only asks how you want to pay — UPI, card or net banking — with nothing to type there. Accounts from before that may still be asked for the email at the payment step.
Asha answer packs can be bought from this balance too — with one rule: only recharged money buys a pack. Bonus credits (such as referral rewards) pay for plans and the per-sale fee first, never for a pack; the pack sheet says so when that is why the credits button is greyed out. Details: Asha answers.
Good to know: credits work only inside LentloSites (for plans, fees and services on your own account) — they can't be sent to anyone else or withdrawn as cash. Every recharge shows a payment reference in your statement.
Lifetime validity — and why credits are non-refundable
This is the one money rule worth reading twice, because it cuts both ways and both halves are in your favour more often than not.
What you get
- Your balance never expires — money added today is still yours in three years.
- No cancellation fee, and every renewal is shown with its date and amount before it happens.
- You only ever spend it on things you choose: a plan, a per-sale fee, an answer pack, a service.
What you give up
- Recharges are non-refundable once the payment succeeds — your first recharge and every later one alike.
- An activated or renewed plan period is non-refundable too; you keep access till it ends.
- A paid plan renews from your credits even when they are short — the balance goes below zero and editing on that website pauses until you recharge.
- Credits can’t be withdrawn as cash or sent to another account.
You are told this before every payment, and the formal wording is in our Refund Policy and Terms. Where we fail to deliver something you paid for, that is a different matter — message us and we will make it right.
Recharging your Lentlo Credits
Recharge whenever you like — before a busy season, or when we nudge you that the balance is getting low.
Open Lentlo Credits
In the dashboard menu under Account, click Lentlo Credits — your balance sits right beside it, and on the Home page as a small pill (it shows even before you create a website). Then tap Recharge credits (on your very first recharge the page is called Add ₹500 to start). Every website's menu also has a Lentlo Credits shortcut that opens the same page with that website preselected.
Enter an amount
Under Choose an amount, pick a quick amount or type your own — the screen shows the smallest and largest amount you can add. When your balance is below zero, the page opens with exactly the amount that clears it. Credits never expire, so adding a little extra is always safe.
Pay securely through our payment partner
Pay by UPI, card, or net banking through one of our RBI-authorised payment partners — Cashfree (opens right on the page, with your UPI apps listed) or CCAvenue (the bank page opens in the same tab). Your balance updates as soon as the payment confirms — usually right away. If the bank says "pending", it clears within a few minutes.
If a payment fails or you close the checkout, the screen says what happened and offers Try again — and, when both partners are available, Pay another way through the other partner. Nothing is charged for a failed attempt, and a payment that did go through is credited automatically even if you closed the tab.
Every recharge gets a GST tax invoice from the platform, made within a few minutes of the payment — open Billing under Account (the Billing & Plans page) and download it from the payments list at the bottom. The invoice is for the recharge itself; the per-sale fees taken from your credits later are not invoiced again.
The first time, the page asks for your billing address (pincode, city, state and street) — type it in English letters, because the bank's payment page can't read Tamil, Hindi or other scripts. It is saved once and goes on your GST invoice. If a payment doesn't go through, the message on your screen says exactly why — cancelled, declined by the bank, or a detail the bank page couldn't accept — and nothing is charged. Your account name must be in English letters too — no symbols like -, | or ' — or the bank page refuses the payment; the Recharge page tells you and links to Account settings to fix it.
The per-sale fee at a glance
Only Free and Starter plans have a per-sale fee — it's how the Free plan stays genuinely free to run. It is a share of the product amount after any discount — shipping and COD charges are never counted, and GST is never taken out of that amount first (a price that includes GST is charged on the full price). The fee itself already includes GST and is taken from your credits after the sale.
- E-commerce — Free: 2.5% · Starter: 1.2% · Pro and Growth: 0% — you keep 100% of every sale
- Business website (enquiries, no store) — Free: ₹5 per enquiry · Starter: ₹1 · Pro and Growth: ₹0
- Catalogue website (a showcase with WhatsApp enquiry) — Free: ₹5 per enquiry (one charge per person per day, spam-protected) · the ₹999/year plan: ₹0 — unlimited enquiries
- News website — Free: 5% (at most ₹50 each) when a reader buys a pass or a sponsor pays through your payment link, plus a monthly visitor fee only past 50,000 pageviews (₹10 per extra 10,000, never more than ₹199 a month — with a live meter in your News Desk and a full free observation month first) · News Pro ₹999/year: 0% on passes and sponsors and no visitor fee. AdSense money is never touched.
- Landing page — Free: ₹5 per lead · the ₹999/year plan: ₹0

A few special designs (like car dealerships and loan services) have their own rates — your Plan page always shows the exact numbers for your site. Full plan comparison: Billing & plans.
Your statement — every charge, itemised
The Lentlo Credits page is one hub for the whole account. Pick a period (7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 1 year or All time) and it shows what you spent, added and got refunded and the GST inside your fees, where the credits went (sale fees, enquiry fees, AI features, plan purchases, services, visitor traffic) and every website's plan, fee rate and charges for that period, with a Lower the fee → link on each. The Activity list underneath has every recharge, plan purchase and fee with the date, the website and the order it belongs to — filter it by kind (Sale & lead fees, Money added, Refunds, AI, Plans, Services) or website (or Account-level only), search an order number, and press Show more to page through the full history. Tap Statement (CSV) — it appears once you have a website — for a file your accountant can open in Excel.
Running low or hitting zero — what actually happens
Nothing scary happens the moment you hit zero — and your shop never closes because of credits. Here's the exact sequence:
- Getting low — your balance card shows a Running low badge (it reads Healthy otherwise). Nothing is blocked; it's just a nudge to recharge.
- At zero and a little below — sales keep working; once a fee takes the balance below zero the badge reads On grace. We extend a small grace allowance so a fee never blocks a sale mid-day: ₹200 on Free, ₹500 on Starter, ₹2,000 on Pro, ₹5,000 on Growth.
- Past the allowance — the badge reads Editing paused: editing and publishing pause until you recharge. The balance card tells you the exact amount that clears it, and Recharge credits opens with that amount filled in.
- After a plan renewal — a paid plan renews from your credits even when they are short. When a renewal takes the balance below zero, editing and publishing on that website pause straight away (the grace allowance is for small fees, not a whole plan) until you recharge back to zero; a red strip names the plan and the amount. Orders and bookings keep working.
Your customers never notice. Your live website, checkout, and order-taking are never paused for low credits — the pause only affects your own editing and publishing tools. Recharge, and they unlock immediately.
A fee looks wrong? Dispute it
If a per-sale fee on your statement doesn't look right — say the order was a test or a mistake — you can question it right from the statement.
Find the fee row
On the Lentlo Credits page, find the fee row under Activity (search the order number if the list is long) and tap Report an issue.
Tell us what happened
A short note is enough. Your report shows as On hold and goes straight to our team — a human reviews every one.
We review and reply
If the fee was wrong, it's refunded to your credits and the row shows Dispute refund. If it was correct, we explain why. Either way, a human looks at it.
Cancelled, fully returned and RTO orders refund their fee automatically — you don't need to dispute those. Check the statement first; the refund row is usually already there.
