Some of the helpers in your dashboard use AI — writing your website's text, drafting WhatsApp replies, answering visitors in your website chat, reading a supplier bill from a photo, checking a payment screenshot. Those run on a small separate balance called AI Credits, topped up through the company that set up your account. This page explains what it pays for, how to add to it, and how to keep an eye on it.
Moving to Asha answer packs. The newer way is one pool: 3 free Asha answers a day, and every AI use on your account (chatbot, WhatsApp replies, site text, payment checks) counts as answers from packs your provider sells at their price — pick one on Asha answers (Pay & request). Once the one-pool model is on, this page hands over to Asha answers.

What AI Credits is — and is not

It is a prepaid balance for AI features only. It is not your plan, and it is not your order money — nothing you sell touches it, and it is never charged to a customer.

You ask AI to write your website textCharged from AI Credits

AI sends a WhatsApp reply for youCharged from AI Credits
You snap a supplier bill and it fills the formFree
You type a request into the order searchFree

The price is always shown before it runs — on the button, or on the setting that switches the feature on. If a run fails, nothing is charged; nothing is taken while it is still working either, so a call that breaks halfway costs you nothing. You never discover a cost afterwards.

Adding credits — Pay & Request

Your balance is topped up by the company that looks after your account, so the flow is: you pay them, they approve, the balance appears.

Open AI Credits

AI Credits in your dashboard menu. The blue card at the top is your balance; beside the recharge box, What each AI action costs lists every helper at the prices your provider has set (the free ones simply say Free).

2

Choose how much to add

Tap one of the ready amounts — ₹100, ₹200, ₹500, ₹1,000 — or type your own in the Custom box (₹10 is the smallest request). Nothing you add expires, so a slightly larger recharge simply means fewer of these trips.

3

Pay and tell them

The QR on screen redraws itself for the amount you picked. Scan it with any UPI app, pay, then tap I've paid ₹… — request credit. Your request appears in their queue.

4

Watch it turn Added

Your recharge requests lists every request with a status chip: Waiting while they check, Added once the credit is in (AI works again immediately), or Declined. If a request sits on Waiting, use the Message … link on the same page to nudge them.

No QR on the page? Then your provider hasn't set up UPI recharge yet — the page says so and offers the same message link. Arrange the recharge with them directly.

Seeing where it went

At the bottom of the page, Recent AI activity lists every AI action with its date and what it cost — in plain words rather than codes, and Free where nothing was charged:

Keeping it under control

Do this

  • Read a week of WhatsApp drafts before you switch on auto-answers
  • Start WhatsApp AI in “suggest only” mode and read the drafts for a week
  • Recharge a sensible amount rather than the minimum every few days
  • Check the usage list once a month — it tells you which helper you actually use

Not this

  • Turning every AI helper on at once to see what happens
  • Switching on auto-answers before you have read the drafts
  • Assuming AI replies are free — the ones sent to customers are not
  • Paying for a recharge and forgetting to tap “I've paid”

Running low? AI features simply pause — nothing else does. Your website, your checkout, your orders and your WhatsApp all keep working exactly as before, and the paused helpers come back the moment your balance does.

Common questions

Who decides the prices I see?

The company that set up your account. The prices on your AI Credits page are theirs, and so is the UPI account you pay into — ask them if anything is unclear.

Is this the same as my plan?

No. Your plan is what your website runs on; AI Credits pays only for AI features. Running out of AI Credits never affects your website, your orders or your customers.

Do my customers ever pay for this?

Never. AI costs are yours alone and are never added to a customer's bill.

Can my staff spend it?

Website text writing is owner-only. WhatsApp AI settings need the outreach permission. Everything else is either free or tied to a feature you switched on yourself.

I paid but my balance has not changed.

Check that you tapped I've paid after paying — that is what raises the request. If it shows as pending for a while, use the support contact on the page to nudge them.
