What it does — and what it leaves alone
- You choose up to 100 productsIn your order, numbered
- They lead your Shop pageNumbers 1, 2, 3… first
- And their categoriesEach one leads its own aisle
- Everything else: newest firstAs your shop always did
Your shop page shows the newest products first. Shown first is a short list that goes before that — nothing else moves. A product in the list also comes first on its own category page, in the same order.
Which tool for which job?
Put one product first
Example · Meena, a saree shop in Jaipur
Her Banarasi sarees land every October, and Diwali shoppers are already browsing. She opens the new saree in Products, taps its ⋯ menu and chooses Show first on Shop page. It lands at number 1 on the Arrange screen; she presses Save order. Her Shop page and her Sarees page now open with that saree.
Open the product's ⋯ menu
In Products, find the product and tap ⋯ (More). Choose Show first on Shop page. If it is already in the list, the menu says its number instead.Press Save order
The product is at number 1 on the Arrange screen, ready for you to move or keep. Nothing is live until you press Save order. If your shop does not show that product right now — it is hidden while sold out, or it is a private auction lot — the line under the list says so; it keeps its number for the day it shows again.Arrange several products
Open Products → More → Arrange products (or the line under the Products title). Press Add products to show first, search or pick a category, tick the products and choose Add at: Top or End.
- Tap a number to move a product — Put here slots appear between the other rows. Tap one.
- ⋯ on a row — Move to the top, up one, down one, to the end, Put at a number…, or Remove.
- On a computer the ▲ ▼ buttons move a product one place, and you can drag a row by its grip.
What customers see when they pick a sort
Your order is what a customer sees when they open the Shop page or a category. If they choose a sort — Price, Name, or Newest on some designs — they see that sort instead, as they asked. On a Shop page with many pages, a few designs leave the Newest choice out of the menu while your order is on, because the newest order could not be shown exactly across pages.
Sold-out products in the list
A listed product that sells out keeps its number and shows as Sold out there, unless your shop hides sold-out products (Settings → What customers see). Then the row says Hidden while sold out and the product comes back at its number when it is back in stock. A product only members can see keeps its place for members.
When the change shows
After Save order the status line says Saved. Updating your Shop page… and then Your Shop page shows this order now. — read that line; it is the truth from your website, not a promised minute. A big shop takes longer to update than a small one. If your website is not published yet, the order is saved and goes live with your website.
Big shops and members-only shops
Everything is computed on the server: the picker searches your whole catalogue, the preview shows the first 12 cards from the real order, and nothing loads thousands of products into your phone. A members-only shop works the same — members see your order after they sign in.
What customers see first (on a phone, the Preview tab) draws the first 12 cards of your Shop page. Under Showing, pick any of your category pages instead — it shows that page the way the website builds it, with the products from your list that belong to that category leading it.
The category tile photo
Arranging products does not change a category’s tile photo on the home page or in the menu — set that under Categories.
