Add & rearrange sections on any page

Over sixty ready-made blocks you can drop above or below any page — and reorder the ones your design came with.

In this guide

Your design arrives with a set of sections. The editor’s section list (Sections on this page, on the left) shows the whole page as one list and lets you add more — on top of a page, between its parts, or at the bottom — and reorder the ones already there. It is how you make a ready-made design look like your own business without touching a line of code. The complete tour of every block and control is in Sections & layout — the complete guide.

Where you can add sections

Above everything on a page+ Top of the page
Between two sections+ After <that section>
Below everything+ Bottom of the page

Product-page zones apply to every product at once — you are editing the layout, not one item. Category pages inherit the shop page’s zones.

Adding one

1

Open the page and find its section list

On a computer it is on the left, under the page name; on a phone it is the Sections & layout tab of the Edit Page sheet. Press Add section and say where it goes — or hover between two sections in the preview for a + pill.

2

Pick a section type

Banner slider, offer strip, FAQ block, client logos, testimonials, steps, stats, a video, a map — over sixty in all. Each card shows what the block is before you commit, and hero-class blocks preview in your own colours.

3

Fill it in

The fields are plain: a heading, some text, photos, a button — on the Content tab of its card. The quick bar on top sets its width (Default · Narrow · Wide · Full), the space around it and which devices show it; Lookand Layout hold the rest.

4

Check it and publish

Look at the preview, then press Update Website. Nothing reaches customers before that — see Publish your site.

Rearranging what is already there

You can also move your design’s own sections. The rule of thumb: whatever makes someone buy should come before whatever explains who you are.

  1. HeroWhat you sell, in one line
  2. ProductsBest sellers, immediately
  3. TrustReviews, guarantees, your shop photo
  4. About & FAQFor the people who scroll
A customer decides in the first screen. Put the deciding thing there.

Example · Meena, a saree shop in Surat

Her design opened with a large About Us block. She moved it below the products and put the new-arrivals row directly under the banner. Same design, same photos — but customers now see sarees before they see paragraphs, and they scroll further.

The whole page, not just the middle

The same section list also controls the parts around your sections. Tap Header or Footer in it and Hide on this pagehides that part for this page alone (or points the page at a different header block) — useful for a campaign page. And the header, footer, announcement bar and even your “page not found” page can each become a block you edit exactly like a section; see Header, footer & site-wide blocks.

The one mistake to avoid

Do this

  • Add a section because it answers a question customers ask
  • Keep the homepage to four or five blocks below the banner
  • Check on a phone — a section that looks fine on a laptop can be three screens tall
  • Delete a section you added and never filled in

Not this

  • Adding sections because they are available
  • Two sections saying the same thing in different words
  • A testimonials block with one made-up testimonial
  • A slider with six slides nobody swipes past the first of

Every section is more to scroll and a little more to load. A short page that answers the question beats a long page that shows everything you can do.

Common questions

Can I remove a section my design came with?

Most can be hidden or emptied. If one is structural to the design it stays — but you can usually reorder it out of the way.

Do sections slow my site down?

Each one adds a little. Images are the real cost, and those are converted to four sizes automatically so a phone downloads the small one.

Do product-page sections apply to one product or all?

All of them — you are editing the product page layout, not a single item.

I added a section and cannot see it on my site.

Editor changes wait for Update Website. Check the preview first, then publish. If the preview shows an amber Not on your live site line on the block, it has nothing to show yet — the line says what it needs (a photo, approved reviews, a published blog post…), and your live website leaves it out until then.
