The model, in one picture
- They search a free toolKundli, matching, panchang, rashifal
- They use it on your siteReal calculation, instantly
- You get the birth detailsWith their phone number
- They book a consultationPaid, on your calendar
The tools are the reason someone lands on you rather than a national portal. The consultation is the business.
What the free tools cover
The calculations use a real astronomy engine with the Lahiri ayanamsa, and the output is validated against a large set of known Drik panchang values. A visitor who checks your kundli against another site should find the same planets — that credibility is the whole point of offering the tool.
Two of the six ask for a phone number: kundli and matching. Those are the ones that turn a visitor into an enquiry you can act on. Panchang, rashifal, numerology and the festival calendar ask for nothing — they exist to bring people back day after day, which is a different and equally useful job.
Deciding how the tools ask for a number
Open the website editor → Site Settings → Astrology Settings. Three choices sit there, and they change how hard your tools work for you:
- Ask visitors for their WhatsApp number — Optional (the default: the result shows either way, and a number typed in becomes a lead), Ask before showing the full result, or Never ask.
- Your city (for the daily panchang) — sunrise, muhurat and choghadiya are computed for it.
- Kundli chart style— North Indian (diamond) or South Indian (boxes), and a switch for today's panchang strip on the homepage.
Start on Optional. Asking before the result raises the number of leads but sends some visitors straight back to a national portal — and a visitor who never comes back is worth nothing.
Turning a tool user into a client
Let the tool do its job first
The visitor gets their real result. A tool that teases and then demands payment sends them straight to a competitor.
Collect the details you actually need
Name, birth date, time and place — plus a phone number. Those details are the enquiry; you already know more about this person than any web form usually gives you.
Read the enquiry list every morning
They land in Form Inbox already summarised in one readable line — the lagna and rashi, the nakshatra, when and where they were born, and whether Mangal dosha, Kaal Sarp or Sade Sati showed up. You can decide who is worth a call without opening anything. A new one also pings you like any other lead.
Book the consultation
Set your services and prices under bookings — 30-minute call, full chart reading, matching — and take an advance if you want. See Appointments & bookings.
Example · Pandit Sharma, Varanasi
Around 400 people a month use his free matching tool. He messages the ones who checked a match and then stopped — “I saw you checked a kundli match; would you like me to look at it properly?” Two or three convert every week at ₹1,100 a reading. The tool costs him nothing to run.
Selling remedies
Gemstones, yantras, rudraksha, pooja items — add them as products and they sell like any other shop, with the same delivery and payment setup. Most astrologers find the remedy sale follows the consultation naturally rather than the other way round.
Do this
- Say plainly what a stone or item is and what it weighs
- Price it openly — hidden prices lose trust in this trade fastest
- Offer certification where the customer would expect it
- Keep consultations and products as separate parts of the site
Not this
- Promising a specific outcome from a purchase
- Making the free tool demand payment before showing anything
- Fake urgency — 'only 2 left, act now' on a spiritual item reads badly
Be careful with claims. Statements that promise to cure illness or guarantee an outcome are a consumer-protection problem in India regardless of your intent. Describe the tradition and the service, not a guaranteed result.
Every button is yours
Each button on the site has its own Showswitch, its words and — where it goes somewhere — its link, right next to it in the editor. To remove a button, switch it off: emptying its words brings back the design's words.
- Home page — both hero buttons, the buttons under Services, About, Remedies, the Handwritten Report and the closing section, and the Book link on the service cards.
- Service cards(home page and Services page) — one wording for every card's button, and each card can have its own words, its own link and its own Showswitch; leave a card's words blank to use the shared wording.
- Talk on WhatsApp (the closing section) — switch it off, or give it a page link to send visitors there instead of WhatsApp. WhatsApp Us on the Services page works the same way.
- Contact page — the Call, WhatsApp and Email cards each switch off, and their titles are yours.
- Header — Show header button under Site Settings → Header & Navigation.
- Footer— the phone, email and WhatsApp links each switch off, the tools column switches off, and every tool link's words are yours.
- Floating WhatsApp button — under Social Links: on or off, bottom right or bottom left, and whether it shows on phones.
- Product pages — Site Settings → Product Page: the Add to Cart and Buy Now words, the sold-out message, the Order on WhatsApp button (switch, words, and the message it opens with —{product} and {price} fill in by themselves), trust lines under the buy buttons, and the section headings, the tax line under the price, the customer reviews block (a switch, its heading, the line under it and the send button) and the share buttons (a switch and the words before them). The small Add button on product boxes is under Product Cards; once that product is in the cart the button shows a tick and Added (your own words under In-cart words), with a small count from the second one, and goes back to Add if the product leaves the cart. The word in “60% off” is there too.
The tax line under a product's pricefollows your GST setting by itself: “Inclusive of all taxes”, or “+18% GST at checkout” when you add GST on top of your prices. Type your own words to always show them, or empty the box to show no tax line.
Other words on your site
The last group in Site Settings, Other words on your site, holds the small words that belong to no single page: the sign-in popup (its title, the phone and code boxes, Send OTP, Verify OTP, Resend OTP, Change Number, Logout), the headings over the free tools' results (Birth Charts, Graha Positions, Vimshottari Dasha, Dosha Check, the matching score break-up, your number profile …), the daily horoscope's Overall / Love / Career / Money / Health / Tip rows, and the lines shown for a moment while a tool loads. It stays folded until you open it. Words that sit on one page are with that page: the kundli form's gender choices on the Kundli page, the Panchang block's heading on the Panchang page, the by-name sort choice on the Shop page.
Where “Book” buttons go. Every booking button — service cards, the About page, the kundli and matching pages, and any button whose link is /book— opens your Booking page. If you switched the Booking page off, enter the page visitors should use instead under Site Settings → Header & Navigation → Where “Book” buttons go (for example /contact), and every one of them follows.
Button look. Site Settings → Buttonschanges every button at once: the shape (round ends, softly rounded or square corners), the fill (the gold shine, a flat colour or an outline) and the size (compact, standard or large). Leave them on the design default to keep today's look.
Why the tools do not slow your site
The astrology tools run from their own separate script, loaded only on the pages that use them. Your homepage, shop and booking pages are unaffected — someone who never opens a kundli never downloads a byte of it.
Common questions
Do I need to know the maths?
No. The chart, dasha and panchang are calculated for you. Your work is reading them for the client.
Can I reword the tools in Hindi?
Yes. The words aroundthe tools — headings, the labels above every field, the button, the helper lines — are on each tool's page in the editor, and the headings over the calculated result (Graha Positions, Vimshottari Dasha and the rest), the horoscope rows and the loading lines are under Site Settings → Other words on your site. What stays as it is: the names of the calculated values themselves (tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, the planets, the koota names) — the traditional terms practitioners and clients already know — and the short sentences the tools write around a result, such as the date line over the rashifal.
Someone was born in a small village — will it find the place?
The place list covers a few hundred Indian cities and towns. If a birthplace is not found the tool says so rather than quietly using a wrong location, and the nearest listed city is close enough for everything but the most exacting chart. Births before the mid-1950s assume today’s Indian time zone, which can be a few minutes out for the oldest charts.
Can I take consultations on WhatsApp instead of a call?
Yes. Set the service up as a booking and describe the format; the reminder message tells them how it will happen.
I emptied a button's words but it still shows — why?
An empty box means “use the design's words”. Every button has a Show switch right above its words — switch that off to remove the button.
Do I have to sell products?
No. Many astrology sites run purely on consultations. Leave the shop empty and it will not appear.
Can I charge for a detailed report?
Yes — sell it as a service with an advance payment, deliver the report yourself, and record it on the booking.
