Where to find it
Open Grow in your sidebar, then the Traffic tab. Pick Today, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days at the top.
What the numbers mean
- Visits: one person's one sitting on your website. If someone comes from Instagram and opens five pages, that is one visit from Instagram. If they come back an hour later, that is a second visit.
- People: how many different people came. A person using two phones counts as two.
- Enquiries: taps on your WhatsApp and call buttons, and forms and bookings sent, from those visits.
- Sales from your website: online orders in this period, read from your real orders. Cancelled and returned orders never count. Orders you add by hand are left out here, because they never came through your website.
Your own phone and your team's phones are left out of all of this. The numbers update every 15 minutes.
Where visits come from
Each group opens to show the sources inside it:
- Search engines: Google, Bing and others, the free results. Google Maps has its own line when a phone tells us.
- AI tools: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and others. Someone asked a question and followed the link in the answer. More in AI search.
- Social media: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, Reddit and others, when it is not a paid ad.
- WhatsApp & Telegram: links opened from chats.
- Paid ads: Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram ads and others.
- Free product listings: your products on Google Shopping.
- Other websites: another website linked to you. You see its address.
- Direct: someone typed your address, saved it, or their browser hid where they came from. Some apps hide it, so a part of this group really came from somewhere else.
How a sale is matched to a source
A sale counts for the last place the buyer came from in the 30 days before ordering. Typing your address does not take the credit away.
Example · Priya, buying from a sweet shop in Agra
Priya sees your Instagram ad on Monday and looks around. On Wednesday she types your address and pays. The sale counts for Instagram Ads, because that is what brought her. Your ad gets the credit it earned.
If a line under the page says some orders could not be tied to a visit, they show under Before tracking started. These are older orders, or phones that block tracking. Your money is not affected: this page only reads your orders, it never changes them.
Pages people arrive on
This is the first page of each visit. Use the buttons to see the pages each group lands on: if ChatGPT keeps sending people to one article, that article is working, so make it better and link it to your products.
Campaigns
Any link tagged with a campaign name shows here, including your ads and the links you make on the Share Links tab.
Use it once a week. Look at which group brings sales, not only visits. A source with few visits and many orders deserves more of your time than one with many visits and no orders.
The Analytics page has the wider picture: your funnel, products, rush hours and each visitor's journey.
