Share links & paying promoters per visitor

Find out which poster or post actually brought anyone — and pay people a small amount per genuine visitor.

Two tools on the Grow page answer the oldest question in marketing: which of the things you did actually brought anyone. Share links count visitors per link, and Promoters pay people a small amount for each genuine visitor they send.

Make a short link for each place you post. Every one counts its own visitors, so at the end of the month you know whether the shop board, the WhatsApp status or the pamphlet did the work.

1

Create a link

Sidebar → Marketing → Grow → the Share Links tab. Name it after where it is going — Shutter QR, Diwali pamphlet, Society group — and pick where you will share it. Each link gets its own QR and a Share on WhatsApp button.

2

Use only that link there

The number is only meaningful if that link appears in exactly one place.

3

Compare after two weeks

Stop doing the ones with no visitors. That is the entire point.

Turn a share link into a QR code and you can measure a printed poster the same way you measure an online post.

Promoters — paying for visitors

A promoter is someone who sends you traffic: a student with a big WhatsApp group, a local page, a friend with a following. On the Promoters tab you fill four things — name, phone number, ₹ per 100 visitors and an optional % per sale — and press Add promoter. Leave either rate at 0 to skip that kind of pay. Each person gets their own link, with Copy and Send them the link (WhatsApp) buttons under it. (The sale percentage runs on the influencer program underneath.)

Read the box before you type in it: the rate is per 100 visitors, not per visitor. If you want to pay 50 paise a visitor, type 50 — that is ₹50 for every 100 counted visitors. Typing 0.50 there would pay half a rupee for a hundred people.

  1. You add a promoterThey get their own link
  2. They share itStatus, groups, wherever
  3. Real visitors countedConfirmed humans, one per person per day
  4. You pay themDirectly — nothing is held here

What counts, and what does not

A real person opens your siteCounts once that day
The same person opens it five timesStill one
A bot or a preview crawlerNever counts
Someone refreshing to farm the countGains nothing — the day is already counted

The card shows counted visitors next to raw taps, so you can always see the gap between the two. If a promoter’s raw taps run far ahead of counted visitors month after month, that is your signal to stop — open them on the Influencers page and Deactivate.

The money

This is non-custodial: we calculate what is owed and record what you settled. No money is held, moved or processed for you.

You cannot mark more paid than is owed. It is a safeguard against a typo, not a lack of trust.

Is it worth doing?

Example · A cafe in Indore

Four college students at ₹50 per 100 visitors — that is 50 paise a head. It cost about ₹900 in a month and brought roughly 1,800 counted visitors — cheaper than the boosted posts they had been running, and the students were customers to begin with.

Do this

  • Pick promoters whose audience is actually near your shop
  • Set a rate you would pay for a real footfall
  • Check counted visitors against raw taps every month
  • Settle promptly — a promoter who waits stops promoting
  • Compare against what an ad costs you per visitor

Not this

  • Paying for visitors from cities you cannot deliver to
  • Starting with a rate you cannot afford at ten times the traffic
  • Expecting visitors to equal sales — that is your website's job

Visitors are only worth paying for if the site converts them. Check the sources report on the same Grow page: it shows which source brought orders, not just people.

Common questions

Is this the same as the influencer programme?

No. Influencers earn commission on sales; promoters earn per visitor. Use influencers when you can attribute a purchase, promoters when you just need footfall. See Influencer programme.

Can a promoter see their own numbers?

They can sign in to your partner portal with the phone number you added and see the taps and orders their link brought. The ₹ owed for visitors is worked out on your Grow page — so send them a screenshot, or just tell them the number when you pay.

Do you take a cut?

No. You pay the promoter directly; we only count and calculate.

What if I think someone is faking visits?

Open them on the Influencers page and press Deactivate — their card on Grow then shows paused and nothing further is counted. Faking is hard to begin with: only confirmed human visits count, each person counts once a day, and bots and your own devices are left out.
