In this guide

A finance business runs on applications, and an application is a form plus documents. This guide covers building that form, what the applicant sees at /apply, and how the applications and their papers reach you.

Why a form beats a phone number

A visitor who has to call you at 11pm does not call. A form that takes four minutes captures the enquiry while they are still interested, with the details you need to say yes or no.

  1. They open /applyFrom your site or a shared link
  2. They fill your fieldsOnly what you actually ask for
  3. They attach documentsEncrypted on upload
  4. It reaches youWith everything in one place

Building a form

1

Open Loan Forms

Loan Forms in your sidebar, then + New Form.

2

Name it for the product

Personal Loan, Business Loan, Home Loan Balance Transfer. The name is what the applicant sees, so use their words.

3

Add only the fields you will use

Every extra field costs you completed applications. Ask for what decides the case; collect the rest on the call.

4

Add document uploads

PAN, Aadhaar, salary slips, bank statements, GST returns — whatever the product needs. Say plainly which are required.

5

Publish it

A published form appears on your live site straight away. Your homepage loan products link through to it.

How many fields is too many

Name, phone, city, amount, incomeFive fields — most people finish
Fifteen fields with three uploadsExpect most to abandon
Details only needed after approvalAsk on the call, not the form

Example · A DSA in Pune

His first form had nineteen fields and four mandatory uploads; almost nobody finished it. He cut it to name, phone, city, loan amount, monthly income and one PAN upload. Completed applications went up several times over — and he collects the rest of the papers on the call, from someone already interested.

Documents and trust

Uploaded documents are encrypted at rest and are never reachable at a guessable address. Only you and the staff you allow can open them.

You are collecting PAN and Aadhaar copies. Ask only for what a case genuinely needs, tell applicants what you will do with it, and delete what you no longer require. That is both the law’s direction of travel and the reason people trust you with the next one.

Working the applications

Applications land with their documents attached. On a finance website every application is also a file in the Loan Desk— stages from New to Disbursed, document requests, lender logins, sanction and disbursement records — and the form itself verifies the applicant's mobile number first, so an unfinished form still reaches you as a lead. On other website types, track long-running cases as a case file rather than a message thread: see Case files.

Do this

  • Reply the same day, even if the answer is 'send me one more paper'
  • Say what happens next and when
  • Keep one form per product rather than one giant form
  • Test your own form on a phone before sharing it

Not this

  • Asking for documents you will not read
  • Leaving an application untouched for a week
  • Promising approval — you are the intermediary, not the lender

Common questions

Where does the form live?

At yoursite.com/apply, with your published forms listed. Share that link directly in ads and on WhatsApp.

Do I have to publish the site after editing a form?

Publishing the form is enough — a published form updates the live page on its own.

Can I have several forms?

Yes, one per product. Each has its own fields and its own applications.

Can my staff see the documents?

Only those you give access to. Document access is a permission, not a default — see Team & staff.

Can I charge a processing fee online?

Yes, with a payment link. Be careful to describe it accurately — charging for an application is a regulated area.
