Custom shop & product pages — build your listing and product pages from blocks

Turn the shop page into six movable blocks (heading, category pills, search & filters, product grid, page links, closing band) and the product page into a block stack — search, filters, cart and checkout keep working. Category pages inherit the layout.

Your shop page (the product listing) and your product pagescan be built from blocks instead of the design's fixed layout: a heading band, category pills, the search-and-filter bar, the product grid, page links and a closing band — each one movable, editable, hideable. Search, sorting, filters, pagination, the cart and wishlist keep working exactly as before, because the blocks wrap the same engine every LentloSites store runs. This guide covers the shop layout, the product-page layout, the search page words, and what a blank canvas store gets from day one.

Custom shop page

  1. Open the Shop pageChange beside the page name opens the page list
  2. Customize the layoutSix blocks appear
  3. Edit, move, hideLike any section
  4. Update Website/shop + categories
1

Turn it on

Open Shop from the page list (Change beside the page name) and press Customize the shop page's layout. The preview switches to your new layout at once — the same products, now in blocks you can open.

2

The six blocks

🏷️

Shop heading

Breadcrumb, the page title (or the category name on a category page), product and category counts, an optional intro line.

🧭

Category pills

Pills or photo tiles for every category — on published stores they link to the category pages; in the preview they filter.

🔍

Search, sort & filters

Search box, sort, price range, in-stock only, the “showing X of Y” line and a reset — the same controls as before, restyled.

🛍️

Product grid

Your cards (classic or vivid), columns per device, products per page (the page links follow), the empty-state message.

📄

Page links

Prev · 1 2 3 · Next when the catalogue spans more than one page.

📣

Closing band

A friendly call to action under the grid — WhatsApp, contact, or a custom link.

3

Move, hide, style

Every block has the usual quick bar (Width · Space · Show on) and its Look and Layout tabs. Drag to reorder, hide the closing band, put the pills above the heading — whatever reads best for your catalogue. You can also add ordinary blocks between them (a trust strip, an FAQ).

Keep the Product Grid block. It is the listing. If you remove or hide it, the editor warns you and the original shop design shows on the live site until it is back — a shop can never publish without its products.

Category pages inherit the layout. /category/kitchen shows the same blocks with the Kitchen products and the Kitchen pill highlighted — nothing to set up per category. The design's own Shop-page controls (hero, filters band, CTA) step aside while the custom layout is on; only the page's search-engine settings stay.

Custom product page

The same idea for every product page: open Product pages from the page list and press Customize this product page's layout. The starter layout carries the gallery and buy area, description, specifications, delivery check, reviews and related products as blocks; add a size guide, a trust strip, an FAQ or a video anywhere between them. The buy area, variants, stock and cart behaviour are wrapped, not rewritten — checkout works exactly as before.

The search page (/search) is shared by every design. Its four texts — the page title, the search-box hint, the “no results” title and its hint — are in Site Settings → 🔎 Search page in the editor. Leave them empty to keep the standard words.

Blank canvas stores

A Blank canvas — all-in-one website starts with both custom layouts already switched on, waiting. Nothing shows until you turn Online selling on in Settings → What this website does; from that moment /shop, the product pages and checkout publish — block-built from the first product you add.

Going back

Do this

  • Use “Use the original shop design instead” under the blocks — your blocks stay saved and can be turned back on later.
  • Check the phone frame after moving blocks: the grid is 2 columns on phones by default.
  • Press Update Website — layouts are staged like every other edit.

Not this

  • Don't add a second Product Grid or a second search bar — only one of each block is used.
  • Don't look for the shop blocks on other pages — they belong to the Shop page only.

Questions

Will my customers notice a change when I turn the custom layout on?

Only if you change something. The starter layout mirrors the design's listing; the engine behind search, sort, filters, pagination and the cart is unchanged. Nothing publishes until Update Website.

Which designs can do this?

Every Blank canvas (all-in-one) design and the store designs built on it — the ones whose Shop page shows the “Customize” button. Other store designs keep their own listing page for now.

Does it slow the shop down?

No. The blocks are plain layout; no extra script loads. A composed listing publishes as static pages like every other LentloSites page.

Can I set how many products show per page?

Yes — in the Product Grid block (products per page and columns per device). The page links adjust automatically.
