This page is for the jewellery catalogue design only. Daily Rates appears in your sidebar when your website uses Swarna Catalogue — the design built for gold and silver, where the price changes every morning. The other catalogue designs (Calibre for tools and machinery,Cobalt for dealers and distributors) sell at fixed prices you type on the product, so they carry no rate board and no Daily Rates page — that is by design, not something missing. Everything else about running a catalogue is the same for all three: see Catalogue websites.
Updating today's rates
Open Daily Rates
Open Daily Rates in your website's sidebar — it is also a tile under Sales on your Manage page, and the Rates cell in the bar at the bottom of a phone. It works beautifully on a phone, which is how most jewellers update rates every morning.
Type the day's values
Each row is one rate — e.g. Gold 22K at ₹1,38,421 per 10 grams. Change the ₹ value and you're done. The Fill karats from 24K button auto-calculates 22K/20K/18K/14K/9K from your 24K rate (you can still adjust any of them by hand).
Save
Tap Save Today's Rates. Every piece priced by weight re-prices at once, and your live website picks the new board up within about a minute — a customer already browsing sees today's price on their next tap. You never have to press Update Website for a rate change.
How a piece's price is calculated
When you add a piece (Products → Catalogue & Price by Weight), choose one of three modes:
- By weight & rate — pick the metal (e.g. Gold 22K), enter the net weight in grams, and optionally wastage/VA %, making charges (₹/gram, % of metal, or flat), stone charges, and GST. The price = metal value + wastage + making + stones (+ GST if you add it) — the exact maths you do across the counter, shown to the customer as a transparent Price Breakup on the product page (you can switch the breakup off in the editor).
- Fixed price— you type the price; rate changes don't affect it.
- Price on WhatsApp — no price shown; the card says Price on WhatsApp and customers message you. Perfect for bridal and bespoke pieces.
#0027) shown as a pill on its photo. Customers send you the code on WhatsApp — the enquiry message is pre-filled with the piece name, code, today's price and a link, so you know exactly what they're asking about.Common questions
- Do I have to update rates daily? No — update whenever the market moves. Your site keeps using the last saved board and shows when it was updated.
- Can I add my own rates? Yes — add rows for anything you price by weight or unit (e.g. Platinum per gram). Units can be per gram, per 10 grams, per 100 grams, or per kg.
- Daily Rates says it couldn't load my rates. Check your connection and tap Try again— the page also tries again by itself when your phone is back online. It never shows an empty board in place of one it could not read, so nothing you saved is lost. If it says your website isn't available right now, your website is switched off; your Manage page says why, and the rates can be changed again once it is back.
- What do enquiries cost? On the Free plan, ₹5 per enquiry from your Lentlo Credits — one charge per person per day, and never more than 30 charged enquiries from one website in a day, however busy it gets. On the ₹999/year plan, enquiries are unlimited and free.
