Cookie banner — optional, fully yours to design

A small floating cookies-and-privacy card. Off by default (Indian law doesn't require one); turn it on and style every text, colour, font and button.

An optional floating “cookies & privacy” card for your website. Most Indian stores don't need one — Indian law (DPDP) doesn't require a cookie banner — so it's OFF by default. If you want one (for example you serve customers in Europe, or you simply prefer showing a notice), you can turn it on and fully design it: texts, colours, fonts, position and buttons.

Do I need it?

Selling only in India? You can leave it off. India's DPDP Act doesn't ask for cookie pop-ups, and banners cost you a little screen space on every first visit.
Serving customers in Europe / UK? Turn it on and also enable the Decline button — European rules expect visitors to be able to say no.
Just want to look extra professional? That's fine too — the new banner is a small, polished card, not a full-width wall.

Turn it on & design it

Open Site Settings → Appearance → Cookie banner

Flip Show a cookie consent banner on. A live preview appears — everything you change below updates the preview instantly.

Write your texts

Title is optional (leave blank for a compact one-line banner). Set the message, the Accept button label, and — if you like — a “Learn more” link pointing at your privacy-policy page.

Pick the design

Position (bottom left / center / right), Theme (Dark, Light, or Custom with your own background, text and button colours) and a Font style (Clean, Serif or Rounded).

Choose the behaviour

The ✕ close button (recommended) lets visitors hide the banner for their visit without accepting. The optional Decline button records a real refusal.

Save

Changes go live on your website automatically after saving — no republish needed.

What Accept, Decline and ✕ actually do

Accept — the banner never shows again on that device.
Decline — the banner never shows again, and that device is excluded from your visitor analytics. Your orders, revenue and reports are never affected — those come from real orders, not from browsing trackers.
✕ close — hides the banner for the current visit only; it may appear again next visit.

Keep the message short and friendly. One line like “We use cookies to improve your shopping experience.” reads better than a legal paragraph — and the Learn-more link can carry the details.

Visitors browsing in private/incognito mode may see the banner again on each visit — private browsing wipes the saved choice when the window closes. That's how private mode works on every website, not a bug.
