Per-Product & Per-Variant GST Rates

5% on food, 12% on packaging, 18% on services — every line taxed at its own rate.

Real shops don't sell at one GST rate. Set the GST rate per product — or even per variant — and every order, invoice, and return calculates each line at its correct rate. Composition-scheme and unregistered sellers are handled too: no tax is charged, and the right document type is issued.

How it works

What you actually do, step by step — most owners finish this from a phone.

1

Set a store default

Pick one default GST rate — most products simply inherit it, so you're not typing rates all day.

2

Override where needed

On any product, set a different rate. Selling a product whose variants attract different rates? Set the rate per variant.

3

Sell — the math is automatic

Checkout, invoices, credit notes, and GSTR exports all use each line's own rate. Mixed-rate carts just work.

Why it matters for your business

Right rate on every line

A kirana cart with 0%, 5%, and 18% items gets each line taxed correctly — not one blended guess.

Server-side and tamper-proof

Tax is computed on our servers from your saved rates, never from anything the customer's browser sends.

Composition scheme built in

Composition sellers charge no GST and issue bills of supply automatically — nothing to configure per order.

Rates flow through everything

The same per-line rate drives invoices, credit notes, and your GSTR-1/3B data, so nothing drifts out of sync.

What's included

The honest, complete list — limits stated where they exist.

  • Store-wide default GST rate with per-product overrides
  • Per-variant GST rates for products whose variants are taxed differently
  • Per-product 'no GST' flag for exempt and nil-rated goods
  • GST-inclusive pricing: the price you show is what customers pay, and the invoice shows the tax break-up inside it
  • The rate is frozen into each order at purchase time — changing a product's rate later never rewrites old invoices
  • Works with multi-GST entities: each line follows its own billing entity's scheme
  • HSN/SAC code per product prints alongside the rate on invoices

Common questions

My prices already include GST — do I have to change them?
No. Prices are treated as GST-inclusive: the customer pays exactly the price you display, and the invoice shows the taxable value and tax portion broken out inside it.
What happens if the government changes a rate?
Update the rate on the affected products and new orders use it immediately. Past orders and invoices keep the rate that applied when they were sold — as they should.
I'm under composition — can I still use per-product rates?
You don't need to. Composition sellers don't charge GST on sales, so your invoices become bills of supply with no tax lines, regardless of product rates.
