Cookies & Tracking

Cookie Policy

What cookies we use, how you can control them, and our commitment to not tracking you across the web

Last updated: April 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the service. This policy explains which cookies LentloSites uses and why.

2. Essential Cookies (Always On)

These cookies are necessary for LentloSites to function. You cannot opt out of them, but they do not track you across the web:

  • Authentication: Keeps you signed in between pages and sessions (cookie name: next-auth.session-token)
  • CSRF protection: Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks (next-auth.csrf-token)
  • Session state: Temporary state during checkout, editor autosave, etc.
  • Preferences: Your editor settings, language, timezone

3. Analytics Cookies (LentloSites Platform Only)

On the LentloSites marketing site (lentlosites.com), we use:

  • First-party visitor ID (sv_vid): A random ID stored in your browser to count unique visitors and de-duplicate page views. No fingerprinting, not shared with third parties, not used to track you across other websites.
  • Google Analytics 4 (optional): Used on marketing pages for campaign attribution. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting.

4. Third-Party Cookies — Payment Processing

When you make a payment, the payment gateway sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and security. We do not control these cookies:

  • Razorpay: Used when you pay for a Pro plan. See razorpay.com/cookies
  • Cashfree / PayU / PhonePe / Easebuzz / Zoho Payments: Set by e-commerce stores built on LentloSites (not our marketing site)

5. Cookies on Your Customer Sites

Websites built on LentloSites may set their own cookies (as decided by the site owner):

  • Customer account cookies (sv-cust-sid) — if the store uses customer accounts
  • Shopping cart (sv-cart) — stores cart items for logged-in or guest users
  • Influencer / affiliate attribution tokens (when campaigns are enabled)
  • Site-specific analytics (GA4, Meta Pixel) if the store owner configured them

6. Cookies We Do NOT Use

We do not use:

  • Advertising cookies (no re-targeting, no behavioral ad networks)
  • Cross-site tracking cookies
  • Fingerprinting or device ID technologies
  • Social media tracking pixels on our marketing site (our customers may use these on their own sites)

7. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block, delete, or restrict cookies. However, blocking essential cookies will prevent LentloSites from working (you won't be able to sign in).
  • Do Not Track: We honor DNT for analytics cookies. Essential cookies remain required for functionality.
  • Cookie consent banner: When you first visit any site built on LentloSites, you may see a cookie consent banner (per EU/India rules). You can adjust your consent at any time via the banner.
  • Clear cookies: You can clear all cookies at any time — you will be signed out and need to sign in again.

8. DPDP Act 2023 Compliance

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), we process cookie-based data on the basis of: (a) legitimate interest for essential cookies, and (b) your explicit consent for analytics and third-party cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings.

9. Cookies Set by Third-Party Services

Some cookies are set by third-party services we integrate with:

  • Cloudflare: Sets __cf_bm and cf_clearance for bot detection and security. Required for DDoS protection.
  • Google Fonts: May set a cookie when fonts are served. We serve fonts from googleapis.com — which sets no tracking cookies, only session cookies.
  • WhatsApp / Razorpay embeds: When you click a WhatsApp or Razorpay button, those services may set cookies on their domains (not ours).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect new services or regulatory changes. Material changes will be announced via email or a banner on the site at least 30 days in advance.
