Common questions

Is wallet balance real money I owe the customer?

It's store credit — a commitment to deliver product of that value from your own store. You control when and how much you issue, and you can set an expiry so old, unused credits don't pile up forever.

Can customers convert wallet balance back to cash?

No — it's closed-loop by design. If you ever want to give cash instead, refund through your gateway or UPI directly and skip the wallet.

How is this different from loyalty points?

The wallet holds rupee-value credit (refunds, cashback); loyalty points are earned on purchases and convert to a discount under your loyalty rules. They work together — many stores run both.
